I'm two!

On the 17th December I turned two! Mummy says she can't believe I'm two. Silly mummy, of course I'm going to get older! I had the best present ever the day before my birthday - my daddy came home for Christmas! Yippee!

We didn't do very much on my birthday as daddy was tired but I've been promised a trip to the farm next week. I got lots of lovely presents and I was very excited when I opened them. I got a high chair for my dolly, a Little Tikes car which mummy keeps moaning is too big for the house. Really its meant to be in the garden but its too cold at the moment. I also got some wooden food for my kitchen, a baking set, lots of books, a jumper to keep me warm, a hat and a lovely jewellery box with a ballerina inside. I'm fascinated by it!

Sorry, there are no photographs. Mummy has promised that she will upload some soon.

Lots of love

Its Christmas!

Its really cold here in the UK and its feeling really Christmassy which is lovely. There are lights everywhere and I keep seeing a fat man in a red and white suit! Apparently he's called Father Christmas and I met him in person at one of my toddler groups. Mummy was convinced that I would cry - I didn't - but I didn't like him very much even though he gave me a present (a little dolly). I couldn't get away from him quick enough and mummy didn't even have time to take a photograph! She says that next year I won't be so afraid of him. We'll see!

I have lots of presents to open which is very exciting. They are all stored in the basement. Everytime mummy opens the door to the toilet (that's where they are stored), I sneak a peek! I hope I get a dolls pram as I love dollies.

See you all soon

Settling in

We've been home a couple of months ago and I have had so much fun! Mummy takes me to lots of toddler groups and classes and I've been able to catch up with all my NCT friends! Mummy can't believe how much I have come out of my shell. I've also been on lots of playdates and we have had playdates in our house too. So far I've caught up with Sophie, Adam, Alexa, Thomas and Henry.

Mummy also takes me to a class called Patchwork Penguin on Fridays. Its a craft class and we make lots of nice things. Last week we made a Reindeer out of a plastic cup but I destroyed mine almost immediately by crushing the cup. Oh dear! There is some messy play at Patchwork Penguin. Most of you will know how I feel about messy play but guess what? I actually picked up a paintbrush the other day. AND got paint on my hand. It was a little bit distressing for me but mummy keeps telling me its OK. What can I say? I'm a tidy toddler!

I start swimming lessons in January. I loved swimming in Dubai but I think mummy is a little worried this time as its freezing here and she's not sure I will like going swimming in the cold. Its not an outdoor pool silly but its a bit of a walk. I think I'll be fine!

Home Sweet Home!

We finally moved back into our house in St Albans on November 16. I love it but don't really remember it from when I was little. I do miss my nana and grandad though and I think mummy misses having them around to help out! We both miss daddy a lot too. I have my own playroom now (it was the office/spare room but my toys were taking over the house!).

Mummy has already taken me to two classes - Monkey music and Caterpillar Music and I loved them both. I danced a bit, clapped my hands and thoroughly enjoyed myself. In fact I am completely different to how I was in Dubai! Mummy saw one of her friends Catherine at Caterpillar Music, she has a little boy two weeks younger than me called Thomas. I don't remember him but as he lives round the corner from us I'm sure I will see him a lot more. Mummy's other friend has bout the house on the other side of the fence at the bottom of my garden. She has a little girl called Alexa. We can wave at each other from our windows! I'm really looking forward to seeing all the other babies I used to know. Lots of playdates methinks!

I'm looking forward to going to the park and seeing all the ducks. St Albans is very green compared to Dubai (mummy says Dubai is yellow!!).

Daddy is home for the weekend in less than two weeks and I can't wait to see him. I miss his cuddles.

Our house!

This weekend daddy came home to help mummy get the house ready. I visited for the first time since we left last September! I don't really remember it but it was really exciting to be there - and to be with my daddy - I've missed him so much. I have my own playroom now and lots of toys. I have been reliably informed that there will be even more toys in a couple of weeks when all my toys from Dubai arrive. And then there will be even more for my birthday and even more for Christmas! I am so lucky! Daddy has been busy fitting stair gates so that I don't fall down the stairs (or climb up them). There are lots of stairs in the house and I love them. We didn't have any in Dubai so I am fascinated by them. He's also fitting locks to the kitchen cupboards as I like to open them and have a look to see what's inside.

Mummy can't wait to move back in so that she can catch up with her friends and start introducing me to their children. A lot of them are the same age as me but I don't remember them at all. She also wants to start taking me to classes like Monkey Music as well. Hopefully it won't be too long!

Amelie xx

Just call me Imelda!

I am obsessed with shoes at the moment (daddy says I get that from mummy!). I love to wear everyone's shoes, no matter how big! I shuffle around the house and its great fun. Mummy keeps forgetting to take photographs but as soon as she has some she has promised to post them here!

Temper, temper!

I am growing up really fast and every day I'm doing new things and going through different phases. I don't think mummy likes my new phase very much though! Recently I have started having temper tantrums. They involve me hiding from mummy when she asks me to do something (like change my nappy, go to bed, get dressed etc). When mummy finds me I lie on the floor, go really stiff when mummy tries to pick me up, kick my legs and scream. I'm really good at tantrum throwing! Sometimes I have three or four a day and I know that they really upset mummy. I never thrown tantrums when nana and grandad look after me and this weekend my daddy has been here and I have been really good. Heehee! I'm just testing my mummy. I love her lots but I'm just pushing the boundaries a bit ;)

A Parisian adventure

A few weeks ago mummy, daddy and I went on an adventure to Paris. We went on a train and I kept saying 'Choo Choo!' It was very exciting. We went to Paris to see my Auntie P, Uncle Bob and my cousins Poppy, Dylan and Olive. Dylan and Olive are twins and they are the youngest Patels! I had met them before but mummy hadn't and she was really looking forward to it. They live just outside Paris in a lovely house in a place called Maisons Lafitte. We had a lovely time there. Daddy's mummy (my ba) was also there as she was helping Auntie P look after the twins and Poppy. I loved playing with Poppy's things, especially her dolls pram and her high chair. I'm hoping that Father Christmas might buy me my own!

It was sad to leave France because it meant that daddy had to travel back to Dubai. I really miss him when he's not here and I know that mummy does too.

Its great to be home!

Its been ages since we last blogged. A lot has happened! Mummy and I are still staying at nana and grandad's as we are still waiting for our furniture to arrive. Mummy is getting a little impatient now and keeps saying that she just wants us to be in our own home. I don't care though as I love being with nana and grandad. They really spoil me! They have looked after me a lot recently as mummy has had to spend a lot of time in St Albans sorting things out at the house.

Its great living in London as there are so many different parks we can visit. Mummy has taken me to the park a lot. My favourite park is Waterlow in Highgate as it has a big pond with lots of ducks. Its Autumn at the moment and there are a lot of leaves on the ground. I really love walking through the leaves and I think mummy does too!

Mummy has also taken me to a really cool soft play area called Topsy Turvy. I love it there as it has a really long slide. Its so fast as well. Mummy has taken me on it a few times and I think she really enjoys it!

I have a lot of blogging to do today so best go and write the next one!

Our last weekend

This weekend was our last weekend in Dubai. It was also our last weekend with daddy for a while. As a special treat we stayed in a lovely resort called the Dar al Masyaf. It was great! We had a villa with two bathrooms and three balconies overlooking the waterways. I had great fun exploring. I think mummy and daddy were most impressed with the butler that we had! A butler! Mummy thought it was really funny. We had a swimming pool which we shared with some of the other villas but there were lots of other swimming pools in the resort as well as the beach.

The resort had lots of waterways and the best (and most fun!) way to get around was by Abra. That's a small boat with no sides (so a bit scary!). We used the Abras a lot to get round. We sometimes caught a buggy as well. I really like cars at the moment (car was my first proper word!) and I got to sit on the back of the buggy with daddy and that was lots of fun!

In the evening after I had gone to bed mummy and daddy had something called private dining where people came and laid out the table on the balcony and brought nice food and wine. Mummy said it was better than going to a restaurant. Its been hard for mummy and daddy to go out without me as we don't have any babysitters here. I'm not very good in restaurants and I tend to scream and shout a lot. I think it stresses mummy and daddy out especially if they think I'm spoiling other people's nights out.

The next morning we went to the pool and I got to spend a lot of time climbing in and out. I really love the water. A few months ago I hated it so mummy is really pleased with my progress. We really didn't want to leave our villa, it was so lovely and peaceful but we had a bit more packing to do so we caught a taxi back to our apartment. Daddy says he might book us a week there next year! That would be really good.

This time next week we will be staying at nana and grandads!

Bye for now

Amelie xx

Bye bye Dubai

So, we're going home in less than one week now. Its hard to believe that we have been here almost one year! When we arrived I had only just started crawling! Now I can walk, run and climb! Mummy says she won't miss Dubai much but I think she will. She will miss the winter sun, her nice friends and tiled floors (she says its much easier to clean up after me!). There are lots of  things she won't miss (the summer heat, being woken up at 4.45 most mornings - and not by me! - the sand and being called ma'am all the time!) I will really miss the pool and my friends (especially Cora because our mummies met right after we arrived here). Over the last few months we have met some lovely new people (Rachel and Ella, Nita and Lila and Dhani and lots of others) and mummy and I wish we had met them all right at the start! I guess it wouldn't have been so lonely for us. Oh well!

This is me with Cora:

I won't miss the summer heat either. Its been really hot here since May and every time we go out with my pram mummy covers me up with a white sheet thing so I can't see a blimming thing. I won't miss people poking me and stroking my face. Mummy won't either. She gets very annoyed when strangers touch me. Its very normal here but not very nice.

I'm really looking forward to going home and catching up with all my family and my NCT buddies. They will all be so big now. Toddlers I think we're called. I won't have most of my toys for a while as they need to go back to the UK on a big boat. It will take around 4 weeks. In the meantime though, I have other toys at my nana and grandads.

Most of all I will miss my daddy who isn't coming home for a while. He'll be visiting lots but he can't come home properly yet. That makes me a bit sad. Mummy too. I expect lots and lots of cuddles and kisses (presents as well?!!) when he does visit.

So, I guess its bye-bye Dubai and hello St Albans (via London). I don't really remember St Albans but mummy says its really nice with lots of trees, a big park and lots and lots of ducks. Mummy keeps saying "and pubs" but I don't know what they are. Perhaps they're like soft play areas for grown ups!

See you all soon

Dubai Aquarium

This weekend was our penultimate weekend in Dubai (I think that means second to last) so mummy and daddy took me to the Aquarium which is in the Dubai Mall (the largest shopping mall in the world). I really like the aquarium and I've been a couple of times. This time though, will be my last time ever (mummy really likes saying this!). First we walked through the glass tunnel. Its really cool as you can see the fish swim over your head. There were some divers in the water and they waved at me. I thought that was really funny!

After the tunnel we went to the underwater zoo part of the aquarium. I looked at all the fish and animals like water rats but I loved the penguins best of all. They were so funny and could swim really fast. A man who worked there said they could swim 40kph which is pretty fast.

When we were finished we went for dinner. I didn't eat much but that's normal at the moment. Mummy gets very cross when I don't eat and she says I need to fatten up but I'm just not very hungry.

After dinner we went outside to look at the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world). Although it was around 6.30 it was still really really hot and humid and it wasn't very nice so we didn't stay for long. Mummy said it would be the last time we visited the Dubai Mall (we've been there a lot) and she seemed very pleased to say it. I wonder why?!!

Growing up

Lately I've been doing some really grown up things like drinking from a cup and trying on daddy's shoes. Here are some photos that mummy has taken recently. I do look grown up don't I?!

My weekend

I had a lovely weekend. On Thursday night we went for dinner at the Hilton hotel. We sat at the beach bar and while we were waiting for our food to arrive mummy took me for a paddle in the sea. It was really warm! Warmer than my bath and the current was really strong so the waves were quite high. I didn't really like it. We looked at the camels that take tourists for rides along the beach and then we had dinner. I was really good and the staff liked to come and say hello to me. I didn't really like that as I am still shy.

On Friday Daddy booked us into the Westin hotel which is not far from where we live. It was lovely. First we had brunch and then we went to the pool. I love the pool and I especially love pools where you can walk in. I like to walk - or run in - over and over again and I love sitting down in the water. I think I tired mummy and daddy out! After that we went to our room which had a lovely big balcony and I went to sleep.

The next day we went back to the pool and I just repeated what I had done the day before! I fell in the water a couple of times and went under but mummy was there to pick me up straight away. I didn't mind going under though.

Oh, and before I forget, I can march and run on the spot now. Mummy and daddy think its very funny!

Mummy is starting to think about enrolling me for some classes when we go home. I really hope I can do Monkey Music again as I loved it. I still love listening to the CD.

See you all soon.

Lots of love

Copy me!

Mummy has noticed that I copy her and daddy a lot more now. I love to watch what they do and then have a go myself! One of my favourite things to do is to get a tea towel from the drawer and start dusting with it. Mummy says that she's trained me early! I also like to apply cream to myself (and mummy!) after a bath and I love throwing away my own rubbish. I'd been watching mummy do it and decided that I could do it just as well myself. So I did!

I can point to my head, nose, mouth, feet and hands now and can recognise quite a few animals from pictures. I can't say what they are yet but when mummy says "where's the duck?" I can point to it! I can also follow a lot of instructions and love to help mummy around the house. My, how I have grown :)

See you all soon.

This is where we live

As we are leaving Dubai in a few weeks time I thought I would tell you about where we live whilst I still remember!

We live in a place called Jumeriah Beach Residence (JBR). There are 36 tower blocks in JBR and we live in one called Murjan 6 on the 6th floor. Our apartment is very big! We have three bedrooms and a maids room. Lots of people in Dubai employ maids. The maids room is very small with no air conditioning and only a shower above the toilet. Mummy and daddy use this room as a storage room. We can just about see the sea from our windows and balcony but soon we won't be able to as a hotel is building an extension and it will block the view! We can also see the Palm.

We have a balcony, its not very big but mummy and daddy have put a paddling pool and a sandpit out there for the days when its too hot to go outside (a lot of the time at the moment!). There are five swimming pools nearby and mummy takes me swimming.

We live very close to a place called The Walk which has lots of restaurants and hotels. It gets very busy at the weekends, especially in the winter when its not so hot (but still very hot if you are from England!). People like to drive down The Walk in their fancy cars and it can get very noisy with lots of traffic jams. Sometimes this keeps mummy and daddy awake but not me so much. I can sleep through anything!

There are a few grassy areas and a playground but its a bit rubbish as it only has two rocking horses and an aluminium slide that gets really hot in the sun. We don't go there very much.

Well, that's where we live!

Summer holiday pics

Mummy promised to upload some pics so here they are! We had such a lovely time and I can't wait for the next one. Holidays are so much fun!

This is me with my cousin Poppy:

I can do it myself!

Since we've been back in Dubai I've decided that I want to be more grown up. I'm using a fork now (mummy tried to teach me to use a spoon as most babies master that first but I decided that a fork was much more grown up). Mummy and daddy are very pleased as they could only give me finger food before - I wouldn't let them feed me. No way!

I'm also using a cup now. I'm not so good with the cup and often I just throw water all over myself (or the floor!) or I gulp it down too quickly and then cough a lot. I think that's really funny and I laugh when it happens! Mummy lets me practise with a cup at meal times and I am getting better.

See, I'm good aren't I?!

I want it and I want it right now!

Mummy says that over the past few weeks I have become a "right little madam". I think by this she means that I  have started to throw tantrums! I scream a lot when mummy says I can't have something and also when she tells me that I have been naughty. When we stayed at nanny and grandads nanny taught me the sign for naughty (its when you pretend the hit the back of your hand) and now I do it all the time! Its a bit embarrassing for mummy and daddy as I don't pretend to hit my hand, I actually do hit it! Mummy and daddy are worried that people might get the wrong impression. Heehee!

I have grown a lot in the past few weeks and I can now reach most tables, drawers and the kitchen counter. Its great fun as I can pretty much get what I want. Well, it was until mummy and daddy put everything out of my reach. The spoilsports! I can also open most bottles and zips are a doddle!

Its really hot here in Dubai but not as humid. Mummy is thinking up things for us to do during the day. I'd be happy in my paddling pool all day but mummy doesn't think I can spend all day in there.

Here's a picture of me doing one of my favourite things, lifting  my dress up and walking round with it over my head!

See you all soon

Summer holidays

At the end of July daddy flew back to the UK for our summer holiday. For the first week he took me to see Ba and Dada in Darlaston. They are my other grandparents and I had great fun there. My auntie P and cousins Poppy, Dylan and Olive were there so I played with them a lot.

After that mummy joined us for our three week summer holiday. The first week was spent in the Cotswolds, the second in the Lake District and the final week in Brighton. We all had a great time and mummy and daddy took me to lots of fun places like farms. We also went for lots of walks and I enjoyed walking through fields and meadows. I've changed a lot over the last few months. I'm really inquisitive and like to know what's going on. I also like mummy to sing to me. I'm becoming a lot more adventorous and have the bruises to prove this!

On August 28 we flew back to Dubai and mummy and daddy were upgraded to business class which meant that they had big seats which moved up and down. I had great fun playing with the remote control, especially when mummy was trying to sleep. Heehee!

Its still really hot in Dubai but we only have four and a bit weeks left. This week daddy is not working as it is Eid. Mummy and I are very happy about that!

See you all soon.

My family

Today has been a very busy day. My uncle Terry (mummy's brother) bought his three children - my cousins! - to nanny and granddads. It was nanny's birthday so they bought her cards and flowers. They also came to play with me! I can be a bit shy around other children but today I had lots of fun. My cousins are Mason who is 4 and a half, Alex who is 3 and Megan who is 15 months. Megan is younger than me but she's much bigger. Mummy says I have some catching up to do! We had great fun playing on my trampoline (all four of us!) and playing with all my other toys. Mason and Alex kept giving me hugs and kisses. It was lovely.

Just before they left Alex found my buggy and my dolly Jessica and she said she was going to take it home,p. Mummy said she couldnt as it was mine and her daddy said she had four prams at home and lots of dollies! Alex was a bit naughty and she cried when her daddy took my buggy from her. Oh dear!

Mummy made cheese on toast for all of us and gave us each a satsuma. I finished mine really quickly - I was hungry - and then I did a really funny thing. I fell asleep in my high chair. Everyone was laughing at me! Daddy said that mummy should have taken a photo and mummy wishes she had too! Mummy quickly took me out of the high chair and put me in my cot.

This afternoon mummy is going to take me to the park to see the ducks and tomorrow if the weather is good she is going to take me to London Zoo. How exciting!

Best go, have to get ready for the park.

Ps mummy has taken loads of photographs which she promises to put on here really soon.

A bit poorly

I haven't been very well over the last few days. I have a very bad cough and cold and its keeping me awake at night. Last night I coughed so much I was sick in my cot. Luckily mummy came and checked on me just after so she (with a lot of help from nanny!) changed the sheets and took me of my grobag as it was covered in sick. It was really smelly.

Mummy has been giving me medicine to help my cough and I really like it. I always want more when mummy gives it to me!

Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow as mummy and me are really really tired. I miss my daddy as well.

I'm a bookworm!

My absolute favourite thing to do in the world is read books. It's great staying at nana and grandads because it means there are three people who can read to me! I can read 10 books a day and I can't just read them once. Oh no, I have to read them around 10 times each! When I say read I actually mean that I sit on the floor and listen whilst someone reads to me. I love it! My favourite book is 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' as I like to poke my fingers through the holes. Sometimes I can see that mummy is tired of reading so if she says no, I just take the book to someone else. Simple!

Mummy bought me a book that sings nursery rhymes to me when I turn the pages or press a button. I think she bought it to stop me wanting her to read so much but it didn't work! I may be little but I'm not silly!

See you soon and lots of love

Busy, busy, busy!

Hello everyone. We've been back just over one week and have been very busy. Mummy has taken me to lots of parks so that I can do my favourite thing - play on the swings! I love it! It makes me laugh so much. So far we have had good weather so we've been able to enjoy being outside. Mummy bought me a new pram and its sooo comfy!

Today was mummy and daddy's first wedding anniversary. Mummy was a bit upset that she couldnt celebrate it with daddy but we went for lunch with mummy's friend Monika so that was nice. Nanny bought mummy a card, some flowers and a yummy cake as well so mummy wasn't sad for long! We spoke to daddy on skype like we always do at 5pm when i'm having my dinner. I really miss him.

Tomorrow mummy is taking me to the library for Baby Bounce. That's where we all sing nursery rhymes. Its fun! Mummy also hopes to take me to the city farm as I really like animals now.

Best go, bedtime now.

Take care

Home at last!

On Thursday mummy and I flew to London. It was very sad to say bye-bye to daddy but we will be seeing him again in a few weeks as he is flying to London as well so that we can go on holiday! The plane we flew on was very busy. Mummy had hoped that I would sleep a lot but I didn't. Heehee! I really liked walking up and down the aisle and hiding when someone said hello to me! One of the cabin crew took a photo of me and gave me a rucksack full of things to play with.

Before we got on the plane I saw my friend Cora and her mummy Ruth. They were going to Scotland for the summer. I won't see Cora when we go back in September as they are staying in Scotland for longer. It was sad to say bye-bye but I really hope we can meet again one day.

When we landed grandad met us at the airport. I was a bit shy at first but it didn't last. I love climbing on him. He reads me lots of books as well and I love books!

I love staying at nanny and grandads because they really spoil me!

I have so much to do over the next few weeks. It's so exciting!

Last day in Dubai until after summer

Today was my last day in Dubai until September. Mummy and I are going on a big plane tomorrow morning and I'll see all my family and friends again. I can't wait! My friend Cora and her mummy Ruth are also flying back tomorrow so we get to play at the airport. Our flight is early and we have to be at the airport at 5am! Mummy is hoping that I will stay awake until we get on the plane and then sleep for a good few hours. If I don't then she is going to give me something called Nurofen. Lots of mummy's say its very good to help babies sleep!

We went to our last Boogie Babies today. I was very grumpy and didn't enjoy it at all. Mummy says its because my last molar (tooth) is coming through and my gums hurt. I agree with her! After Boogie Babies we went to lunch with Ruth and Cora and Rachel and Ella. Cora and Ella slept but I was wide awake and stole a few chips from Ruth!

This afternoon I did a very silly thing. I walked into a wall. It hurt a bit and  I cried for about one minute and then I was fine. I have been very hyperactive this afternoon and have been making mummy and daddy laugh a lot. I like to pull my dress up over my head and walk round. Daddy took lots of photos of me doing this and mummy has promised to upload when she is back in Dubai.

Right, bedtime for me. See you all soon.

Doing brunch

Yesterday mummy, daddy and me went for brunch at a place called Al Qasr with Phil, daddy's friend from work. It was quite fancy but I really enjoyed myself. At first I was very shy around Phil but I was soon used to him. I really like eating with mummy and daddy as I get to eat all sorts of yummy things and things I'm not allowed very often (chips and ice-cream!). Al Qasr is very fancy and there were lots of ladies really dressed up. Of course my mummy looked the best! Friday Brunch is very popular here. Basically yoiu get to eat (and drink!) as much as you like for about four hours! There was a band playing and I liked to dance in my high chair.

Daddy took me for a walk and I was a bit unsteady on my feet and lots of people were laughing at me and saying I looked drunk!

A man called a caricaturist drew a funny picture of me and mummy is going to get it framed. In the drawing I have really long eyelashes and big lips! Its funny.

This week is our last week in Dubai before we fly home and mummy is going to take me to lots of soft play areas so that I can play with my friends and say goodbye.

See you all soon.

Being helpful

Hi everyone, its really hot here now and we can't wait to come home next week! I'm coming on in leaps and bounds (don't know what it means but it sounds good and I hear mummy saying it!) and every week I'm doing new things. The newest thing that I do is help mummy round the house. I like to put my nappy in the dustbin in the kitchen and I really like helping mummy hang the washing up on the dryer. Sometimes I drop it on the balcony and mummy says "oh Amelie". When I drop it mummy puts it back in the washing basket. Not sure why! I like to rub my hands together like mummy and daddy. They laugh when I do that!

Today I went to the Oasis Mall with my friends Cora and Ella and their mummies. I'll really miss them when we go home but I get to see all my UK friends and my cousins and that's very exciting. I'm not eating much at the moment as I have three teeth coming through at once, all on the bottom. They hurt and the pain puts me off my food. Mummy hates it when I don't eat. I have to say I am quite messy as I throw all my food on the floor. Mummy has to clean up a lot.

Have to go now. See you all really soon!

Lots of hugs

Father's Day

Today is Father's Day but here in Dubai the weekend is Friday and Saturday so daddy had to go to work today. Boo. We celebrated Father's Day yesterday instead and we had a lovely day. Daddy booked us into a nice hotel called the Jumeriah Beach Hotel on Friday night so we spent most of the day there on Friday and some of yesterday. We had a really cool room which overlooked this funny building called the Burj Al Arab. Apparently only rich people stay there as its very expensive. I liked to look out of the really big windows and bang on them as well. We spent a lot of time at the pool but it was very hot. I loved the pool and because it was sloped like at the beach I could run in every five minutes. Mummy and daddy kept chasing me. It was great fun! After the pool went for dinner at a place called Beachcombers. The food was nice and I ate quite a lot of prawn crackers which mummy and daddy thought were spicy. I thought they were yummy! I got to stay up quite late. A real treat!

Yesterday we gave daddy the card that mummy and I made. I didn't really like making the card as mummy put paint all over my hand and I don't really like that. Daddy loved the card though so it was worth it. I also bought him a photo frame that says Me and My Daddy. We are going to find a nice photo of the two of us to put in the frame.

We are coming home in less than two weeks now. Mummy can't wait!

See you soon

Love
