I love my walker

Whew, we've had a busy few weeks. I'm really getting about now and love pushing my walker everywhere. I think mummy is really tired of following me up and down the hallway hee hee! I'm standing a lot on my own now and although I haven't taken my first steps yet mummy thinks it won't be long. She thinks I might start walking when we visit the UK next week as granny and grandad have carpet, much nicer to fall on!

My other favourite thing to do is empty boxes, suitcases, drawers, basically anything with a lot of stuff in. I do put it all back again and repeat the process again and again. I'm not sure why mummy and daddy have bought me so many toys, this is so much more fun!

This weekend we went away and spent some time exploring old Dubai. It was OK but it was really hot and mummy and daddy kept the pram covered up to protect me from the sun and I really don't like it when they do that because I can't see.

I'm getting really tall now and if I stand on my tippy toes and hold on the edge of the table I can just about see over the top!

I'm really looking forward to going home and seeing all my cousins. I'm also looking forward to going to the park and seeing some trees!

See you all soon.

Lots of love Amelie xx

You make me feel like dancing

My new favourite thing to do (apart from use my walker!) is dance. I'll dance to pretty much anything really, the theme tune to the Tweenies, the annoying songs that all my toys seem to make and my favourite - my light up drum. I can't walk yet so I either bounce up and down on my knees or hold on to something and bounce. I also like to fling my arms around. It makes mummy and daddy laugh a lot. Makes me laugh as well. Around 5.30 everyday right after my dinner I have a mad half hour when I crawl round at break neck speed, bang my drum a lot and climb on as many things as possible. I think they call it 'over-tiredness' which seems about right as as soon as I get into my cot I fall asleep!
