A busy few weeks

We have had a busy few weeks. First of all we spent the weekend at the Atlantis Hotel. I had a great time by the pool and in the aquarium but apparently I kept mummy and daddy up all night with my snoring. Heehee! Mummy has also taken me to a new soft play area in a place called the Oasis Mall. I really like it there as they have a slide that I love to climb up. Of course there are stairs up to the top of the slide but I much prefer to climb up the actual slide. Often I get almost to the top and I slip and slide all the way down again. Its good fun! I also like the Little Tikes cars that they have and I like to climb in and get mummy to push me. I like sitting backwards best of all. Not sure why! I go the Mall with my friends Ella and Cora. They are both younger than me but I'm a bit scared of both of them. Mummy says I'm a bit of a wimp.

Next weekend we are going to stay in another hotel called the Jumeriah Beach Hotel. I'll probably keep mummy and daddy up again. Teehee!

Copy me

Hello everyone, we are now on the countdown to coming home. Its getting really hot here and because we stay in a lot everyone is getting bored.

One thing I have learnt to do over the past week is to copy my mummy and daddy. I love rubbing my hands together just like daddy and I really like blowing on my food (mummy does this before she lets me eat my dinner. Its soooo annoying because all I want to do is eat!).

Sorting

Over the past few days I have become very good at sorting shapes and stacking my cups. Apparently all babies around my age like doing this and I have to say its lots of fun! Before when mummy showed me how to stack my cups I would just knock them over but now I think very carefully about which size cup fits on which. Mummy has also put lots of things like pegs, pasta in bottles and empty shower gel bottles into a big box and I love playing with them.

Its starting to get really hot now so mummy and I are staying in a lot more,especially in the afternoons. Mummy says its very humid. I don't know what that means but I know that when we are out I feel very hot and I drink lots of water. Mummy face turns a very bright pink which is quite funny!

Walking more than crawling

Since taking my first steps a few weeks ago I'm getting more and more confident and walk more than I crawl. I do crawl sometimes, especially if I want to get somewhere really quickly! I don't like anyone holding my hand either. Mummy says I'm quite indy-pendant. Or something like that!

Climbing!

Now that I can walk (and getting better everyday!) I've discovered climbing. And I love it! I know that mummy and daddy get into a right old panic when I start climbing over the sofa but its such good fun! I can now climb on the sofa on my own and I love to stand on the arms. Mummy makes funny noises when I do this. It sounds a bit like "OoooohhhhhAmelieBeeeeCarefullllllll"

A few days ago I discovered how to climb into my pram and stand up in it although I've only done that once. I might have another go tomorrow!

Food glorious food!

Before we went back to the UK for a visit mummy used to really worry about how much (or how little) I was eating. Most of my food went on the floor and sometimes I wouldn't eat anything for a few days. Now though mummy says that I have hollow legs as I eat a LOT!

My favourites foods are pesto pasta, brocolli and all types of fruit, especially grapes and strawberries (when we were in the UK I ate a whole punnet of strawberries. By myself!). Mummy and daddy are really pleased that I am eating again as I'm still small for my age.

Its getting hot in here

The Dubai summer is fast approaching and every day seems a little bit hotter than the day before. Mummy and I don't go out in the middle of the day anymore as its too hot and I get grumpy and a bit sleepy (so does mummy!).  All our activities are in the mornings now and we are home before midday everyday. Mummy takes me out again around 3pm but its still really hot. We try to stay in the shade which is much nicer.

I have a shade for my pram which protects me a bit from the sun but I don't like it as I can't see anything! I don't like my hat either and I'm always pulling it off and throwing it on the floor heehee! Mummy has bought a fan to attach to my pram and she's waiting for daddy to attach it (she says she will wait all year - I hope its before that!).
